Directions to Caldwell Airport

George Washington Bridge (click for Map)

• Take Route 80 West
• Take Exit 52, "Lincoln Park and Caldwell"
• Bear Right at the Bend - Go South on Twin Bridges Road
• Continue Straight as Road Becomes Passaic Avenue
• Turn Right into Airport by Control Tower
• Then... See "At Airport" Below

Lincoln Tunnel

• Take Route 3 West (for about 10 miles)
• Take Route 46 West (for about 5 miles)
• Exit on Passaic Avenue and Turn Left (go about 1 mile)
• Turn Right into Airport by Control Tower
• Then...  See "At Airport" Below

South Jersey (from Garden State Parkway South)

• Take the Garden State Parkway North to Route 280 West.
• Take Eisenhaur Parkway South (Exit 4A on Route 280) to the first traffic light and turn left on Eagle Rock Road. It's not very far.
• Turn left at the next traffic light (a couple blocks) onto Passaic Avenue.
• Continue for several miles. Caldwell airport will be on your left. There will be a traffic light with a gas station on the right. You will soon be able to see the control tower on your left.
• Then... See "At Airport" Below

At Airport

• Turn into the airport driveway and parking area. There are two driveways close together. It's the one just to the right by the little "enter" sign.
• You will see a big hangar to the left with MacDan Aviation on the side.
• You can park near the hangar. Go into the building and find the lobby where you can likely find me walking around getting ready to go.  Perhaps I am just outside by the plane - N78DG.

Important Tip

We will need to do a weight and balance prior to departure.  It will help to weigh your gear at home.  We may also weigh it at the airport.  If I know the weights in advance, a weight and balance can be calculated and the plane can be fueled.  Otherwise, it takes a little extra time.  Pack light but bring everything you need.
