Owner Roles
The following roles are available to aircraft owners.
Roles that are not filled by the air carrier will be performed by USAC.
The company structure is flexible to take maximum advantage of the skills and experience
of the aircraft owners participating in active aircraft management.
President
The president oversees the total operations of the company.
The president has the authority to establish and change Company policy as necessary in
accordance with the General Operations Manual and corporate by-laws.
The president's duties are as follows:
The president may delegate all duties to any qualified assistant as necessary; however,
such delegation does not relieve the president of overall accountability.
Vice President of Operations
The Vice President of Operations may delegate all duties to any qualified assistant as
necessary; however, such delegation does not relieve the president of overall accountability.
Vice President of Crew Services
The Vice President of Crew Services may delegate all duties to any qualified assistant as
necessary; however, such delegation does not relieve the president of overall accountability.
Vice President of Business Operations
The Vice President of Business Operations may delegate all duties to any qualified assistant
as necessary; however, such delegation does not relieve the president of overall
accountability.
Provide guidance to all personnel in their areas of responsibility.
Make final decision on hiring and firing of all personnel.
Maintain knowledge of the entire content of the Company's General Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, and all FAR's pertaining to the operation.
Assure that all flights comply with all pertinent FAR's, Operations Specifications, and Company Policies.
Assure personnel are adequate to meet staffing requirements and comply with vacation and duty time requirements.
Obtain necessary international clearances prior to departure for all flights into or over countries of those listed in the Operations Specifications.
Manage the Drug and Alcohol program as required by the FAA.
Directs marketing and sales programs.
Coordinates schedule of owners and charter operations.
Analyzes workload, staffing and personnel requirements.
Periodically audits trip records.
Responsible for ensuring safe, consistent and compliant flight operations.
Represents the company regarding Policy and Procedures improvement.
Responsible for overall operation of crew scheduling.
Ensures that hotel accommodations and hotel billing information is adequate and correct.
Provides the payroll function for crewmembers' flight time and per diem hours and
researches any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintains the FAA required record keeping for crew flight and duty time.
Ensures compliance with FAR rest, duty, and flight time limitations for crewmembers.
Provides for sufficient reserve crewmember coverage for unplanned absences.
Responsible for quoting, booking, billing, and accounting.
Responsible for employee payroll.
Acts as secretary, maintains meeting minutes, and keeps company business records.
Provides accounting and tax information to company shareholders.
